INI Awards Scholarships to 2006 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing

The Information Networking Institute (INI), an official sponsor of the 2006 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, is pleased to announce that it will be awarding scholarships to three female INI students to attend the conference, as well as a $750 stipend for travel and accommodations. The conference will take place from October 4-7 in San Diego, California.

The INI has already awarded two scholarships: one to a recent MS16 graduate and one to a second-year MS17 student; the third scholarship will go to one incoming MS18 female student. To take advantage of this opportunity, please email Meg O'Malley by August 23, 2006 with your name, program and a 1-2 page essay responding to the following:

As a female INI student, identify and describe specific ideas for the Women@INI organization to develop stronger ties with industry, professional organizations, etc. that will result in the development of confident and connected students who are prepared to enter the workplace with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for success as future leaders and mentors in the fields of information networking or information security.

The winner will be announced during INI Orientation on Friday, August 25th.
