To help candidates with their graduate school decision, the INI has planned an open house event for students who have been accepted for the 2017-2018 academic year. Open-house attendees will receive valuable information from our faculty, career services staff, enrollment staff, and the Director of the INI. The INI hosts presentations, panel talks and networking activities that allow candidates to get their questions answered while enjoying a day on Carnegie Mellon's main campus in Pittsburgh.
INI Open House for Accepted Students is a one-day event that will take place on Friday, March 24, 2017.
To assist with your planning, please plan to arrive at 8:30 for registration and breakfast. The program will begin at 9:15. Sessions will be held consecutively throughout the day. Meals will be provided, and the day will conclude with a happy hour that will allow prospective students to talk with staff, faculty and current students.
The primary location will be the Distributed Education Center at the Information Networking Institute (DEC@INI). The DEC@INI is located within the Information Networking Institute: Map to the INI.
The Graduate Organization @ INI (GOINI) is delighted to sponsor its annual GOINI Happy Hour and Games Nights during Open House! You will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with current INI students, faculty, and staff during this event. Please bring a valid state or federal I.D. as proof of age.

If you plan on driving, we recommend parking at Carnegie Mellon's Dithridge Street Garage (299 S. Dithridge Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213). If Dithridge Street Garage is not available, we recommend the East Campus Garage (5096 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213).
The INI will cover accommodations for Thursday, March 23th and Friday, March 24th. Any additional nights will not be covered by INI. Your reservations must be made through the INI. Please contact Maureen Stokan via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than March 17th.
For those who cannot attend, the event will be video-recorded and posted online immediately following the event. A link to the video will be provided in the Google group for accepted students.
In addition to viewing the video recording of the event online, admitted applicants may participate in a one-hour, virtual advising session. These sessions will feature a faculty presentation and Q&A to discuss the program, curriculum, research and internships/practicums.
