ISO Event: Mobile Device Security

The Information Security Office (ISO) at Carnegie Mellon University will host a mobile security event on October 3rd, 2013, at the University Center Rangos Ballroom, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Dell and mobile carriers including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon have been invited to demonstrate the security and privacy features available for the mobile devices they carry.

From 1:30 - 4:00 p.m. at the University Center Connan Room will be an ISO-led presentation, with discussions intended primarily for administrative and technical staff, on topics like the legal issues related to bringing your own device (BYOD), CMU's mobile device security guidelines, and other support challenges. Along with the ISO, Apple, Dell and CMU researchers have been invited to present.

Refreshments will be available and attendees can scan their university ID cards for a chance to win prizes like a Chromebook or a Wahoo Fitness strap.
