Women in Technology Talk

Time: October 11, 2012 - 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Location: Lower-level Conference Room, INI Building, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh

What is it like to be the sole woman on a team of 30 or more men? What challenges do women in technology face? Women@INI (WINI) will host a tech talk this Thursday. Come and hear the first-hand experiences of a Carnegie Mellon graduate.

Bridget Spitznagel is a software engineer at Google Pittsburgh. She has a bachelor's degree in computer science from MIT and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon. She left the workforce to be a stay-at-home mom for five years before joining Google. She will visit the INI to talk about working at Google, being a woman in an IT field, and balancing work and motherhood.

Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP. Please RSVP to http://www.facebook.com/events/117583065061323/ by Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
