Looking forward to a lively discussion!

Jed Mitten (MS16) is a Senior Consultant at MANDIANT and will provide a quick walkthrough of an actual intrusion. The presentation will included the method the attackers used to gain access to the target environment, how the attackers moved throughout that environment, what damage they caused, and finally Mandiant’s response to the attack. Due to the short duration of the presentation, the details will be broad, but specifics may be answered during Q&A.

Matt Kaar (MS16) is a cyber exercise developer with the CERT program at the Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute. Matt will discuss the CERT approach to cyber workforce development and how CERT uses it's XNET platform to rapidly develop and deploy cybersecurity exercises for CERT's U.S. Government sponsors. More information about XNET can be found at http://xnet.cert.org/.
