Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Activities

Time: January 16, 2012 - 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Location: University Center, Carnegie Mellon University

All members of the university and surrounding community are invited and encouraged to participate in the variety of programs and events intended to stimulate discussion and reflection about the contributions of Dr. King. All activities will take place in the University Center.

In recognition of Dr. King and to foster engagement from all sectors of the campus community, the university will--as it has for several years--cancel classes scheduled after 12:30 p.m. on January 16. In addition to the keynote address and candlelight vigil, which began in 1991, the program has expanded over the years to include a series of discussions, films, service projects, children's programs and exhibits.
