CyLab Seminar: On the Security and Usability of Text-Based Passwords

the Collaborative Innovation Center (CIC) building in Pittsburgh. Seminars are open to faculty,
students, staff and general public.

Speaker: Lujo Bauer
Speaker Bio: Lujo Bauer is an Assistant Research Professor in CyLab and the
Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon
University. He received his BS in Computer Science from Yale University
and his PhD, also in Computer Science, from Princeton University. Lujo's
research interests include building usable access-control systems with
sound theoretical underpinnings, developing languages and systems for
run-time enforcement of security policies on programs, and generally in
narrowing the gap between a formal model and a practical, usable system.
