On September 7, Carnegie Mellon celebrates the record-breaking gift of a $265 million fund by William S. Dietrich II, a Pittsburgh industrialist and longtime trustee of Carnegie Mellon.
Join the celebration at the following events:
11:00 am: A live announcement by the Fence. It will be streamed online at: www.cmu.edu/event/sept7/.
2:00 pm: Stop by the tent by the Fence to pick up a special commemorative gift.
4:30 pm: A special surprise at the Student Activities Fair.
8:00 pm: The band Guster performs free on the Mall, rain or shine.
As described by President Cohon, "It will be a truly great day for the university."
