The INI welcomes Rajkumar Bondugula, Manager, Development, Sears Holdings Corporation, Hoffman Estates, IL.

The INI Seminar takes place every Friday, 2:30 - 3:50 p.m. This week's seminar takes place at the Distributed Education Classroom at the Collaborative Innovation Center (CIC).

Speaker Bio: Dr. Rajkumar Bondugula joined Sears in May 2010 as a Machine Learning Specialist and Development Manager. He leads multiple machine learning projects in Sears Online Business Unit. Prior to Sears, he was a Research Scientist at Department of Defense Biotechnology HPC Institute for three years. His background is in machine learning, data mining, fuzzy set theory, pattern recognition, evolutionary algorithms and optimization algorithms. He received a Masters and a PhD in Computer Science both from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003 and 2007 respectively.
 
Dr. Bondugula has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed research articles and has also co-authored a book titled "Applications of Fuzzy Logic in Bioinformatics" published by Imperial College Press of London. He has served as reviewer in several international conferences and serves as reviewer for several journals.
 
Sears Holdings was created in connection with the merger of Kmart Holding Corporation and Sears, Roebuck and Co., which was completed on March 24, 2005. The company generates approximately $47 billion in annual revenues and includes approximately 3,900 full-line and specialty retail stores, and related service businesses in the United States and Canada.
