The INI welcomes Bob Hutchinson, Senior Manager, Sandia National Laboratories, Information Security Sciences Group, in Livermore, Calif. His talk is titled "Addressing the Sophisticated Cyber Adversary - Research Topics."

Speaker: Bob Hutchinson

Talk Abstract:

Bob Hutchinson is the Senior Manager in charge of Sandia National Laboratories' Information Security Sciences Group in Livermore, California. He oversees three departments with responsibilities that include high-performance computing research, decision analysis, information extraction research, computer security research, and operational network security. This work is conducted for a wide range of government sponsors, including the Departments of Energy, Homeland Security, and Defense.

In his 23+ years of experience developing information security for high-consequence systems, Mr. Hutchinson has authored or co-authored over twenty published papers. His work has included developing communications security technology for military mobile command and control systems, creating information assurance solutions that introduce trustworthiness into commercial products, and designing scalable, key-agile, and algorithm-agile security devices for high-speed networks. He holds multiple patents in the area of information system security.
