Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum cumulative QPA of 3.0 or equivalent *
  2. Successful completion of introductory-level undergraduate computer science or information technology course **
  3. Demonstrated analytical ability, including successful completion of undergraduate probability or statistics courses **
  4. English proficiency for non-native speakers

*   Students who wish to study at Silicon Valley during their time in the U.S. are required to have a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, or a related field.
** Items 2 & 3 can be compensated by appropriate professional/industrial experience to be judged by the admissions committee.

Submission Package

The application submission package must include the materials listed below. For details regarding this material, go to Application Details.

To be considered for admission, you must submit the following documents:

  • A completed Online Application Form
  • Official transcripts (applicants from India should send mark sheets for proper conversion of grades. Attested mark sheets properly sealed by the university registrar are acceptable) from any undergraduate or graduate school you have attended whether a degree was received or not. If the transcripts are in any language other than English, an official translation in English is required. A photocopy of a transcript is not considered official.
  • Three letters of recommendation (online only)
  • A statement of purpose (500-1,000 words) (online only)
  • Official GRE General Test scores
  • Official TOEFL scores for applicants whose native language/mother tongue is not English

Note: International applicants must include financial support documentation as part of their submission package. Documents can be in the form of bank statements or Affidavits of Support. Please note that you may need to send additional support documents if admitted, for processing of the I-20 or DS-2019 Certificates.
