CMU Shuttle & Escort Services
The CMU shuttle runs frequently throughout the day. In the evening, students may request escort service between university buildings or to residences that are within a 1-1/2 mile radius of campus.

Pittsburgh City Bus Service -- The Port Authority of Allegheny County (PAT)
Students may ride anywhere in the city and beyond using their student ID with a current sticker. Known to Pittsburghers as PAT Bus, the bus service in Pittsburgh is fairly extensive, and there are a number of specialty lines that service Pittsburgh cultural and entertainment centers, such as the Ultraviolet Loop (UV) which travels through all the entertainment spots in the city.

Parking
The INI offers limited visitor parking in front of its building. However, most parking spaces at the INI and across the university campus are permit parking only. There is some parking available in the CMU garage on Forbes Avenue and the adjacent Visitors Parking area, as well as metered spots in and around the campus.
If you have a car you should be very careful to park legally on campus. Unless a space is metered, it is in your best interest to assume it is reserved. Cars parked in reserved spaces without the appropriate tags will be ticketed.
For the most part there is little need to drive to campus. Most students live near enough to walk, bike, or take the PAT bus or CMU shuttle/escort.
