Diversity Reaches More IT Jobs

Jamar Parris (MS17) was featured in an article for Diversity/Careers in Engineering and Information Technology titled "The job market is improving for African Americans in IT." The article talks about his background and what inspired Parris to pursue a technology career, as well as highlights several other African American professionals who have found job satisfaction in technology.

The New Young Professionals and Consultants with a Conscience

Dr. Alex Hills featured Adrienne White (MS18) in his TEDx Talk in Homer, Alaska that praised recent graduates for applying their knowledge and skills to help developing nations. Adrienne has spent time in Ghana (see previous newsletter article) on projects where she can apply technology to improve the quality of life in the community.
