INI Distributed Education Centers

DEC at Henry StreetThe INI Distributed Education Centers (DEC) are the INI's state-of-the-art distance-learning classrooms.

The INI Distributed Education Center in the Collaborative Innovation Center (DEC@CIC) is located on Forbes Avenue on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University. The INI Distributed Education Center on Henry Street (DEC@Henry) is located on the lower level of the INI building.

Equipped with the latest video-conferencing technologies, the two classrooms connect the Pittsburgh campus to the Athens Information Technology campus in Athens, Greece, Carnegie Mellon CyLab Japan campus in Kobe, Japan, and the University of Lisbon and the University of Aveiro campuses in Portugal.

Both facilities are equipped with the latest videoconferencing technology in order to make students in several remote locations feel like they are all in one classroom. Read more.
